Products and Services on Offer
1. Farm Inputs
We supply a wide variety of farm inputs including different types and variety of high quality seeds, chicken feed, fish feed, lashers, fertilizer, pesticides, post-harvest storage technologies, animal vaccines, farm implements like hoes, shovels, water pumps, and more. To make these inputs accessible and affordable for everyone including smallholder farmers, we provide a range of payment models that meet everyone's need including:
Pre-Paid Model: Providing a scheme that enable farmers to pay for farm inputs in advance. Through this model, Growth Pillar supports farmers to plan their next season activities way before the season starts. This plan gives the farmers an opportunity to foresee what resources they will need and how much that will cost. Using this information, farmers are able to set aside resources from the sales of their preceding yields and use that to pay the costs of the farm inputs well in advance.
Pay As Grow Model: Providing a scheme that enable farmers to pay for farm inputs in small-installments over the entire growing season. Through this model, Growth Pillar supports registered farmers to access the farm inputs without the need to pay the whole cost upfront. Then farmers are supported to engage in other income generating activities so they can raise some money while farming activities are in progress. Farmers are then required to start paying back the farm input loans little by little and finish the balance when they sale out their farm produce.
Cash and Carry Model: Growth Pillar runs satellite offices which sale out farm inputs to farmers on cash and carry model. This allows farmers the option to buy the farm inputs at any time of their choice using the money they have.
Post-Paid Model: This Model provides an opportunity for smallholder farmers to access farm inputs on loan without the need to pay upfront costs or payback part of the loan during the farming period. Farmers payback the loan after harvesting, when they sale out their farm produce.
