Managing Director
Joseph is a talented self-starter young man who is passionate about sustainable development, youth and women. He holds a strong belief that it is possible to improve the lives of every single person born on this earth and achieve equality if everyone thinks and cares about quality, sustainability, equality and inclusion. His strong desire to contribute to change led to the birth of Growth Pillar, a social enterprise through which he hopes to offer technical support to individuals and families, small and medium enterprises, and government departments and other corporate institutions to plan and deliver effective and sustainable strategies. Joseph holds a Bachelors Degree in Food and Nutrition from The University of Malawi and a certificate in Leadership and Business Management.
Joyce Nsonthe
Operations Manager
Joyce (Joy) is a cheerful communications expert and an empathetic leader who loves systems and technology. She is an energetic and goal-driven manager in events and workforce operations with human-centred managerial experience in training, planning and leading teams to complete projects using her team and people management skills which she applies in a respectful but persuasive manner. Joy combines her strengths to promote better planning, delivery and reporting while at the same time enhancing conflict resolution through the strengthening and use of institutional systems. She enjoys working alongside team members to unlock value, accelerate revenue growth and serve clients through either new solutions and revenue growth strategies or optimizing enablement, delivery, and workflows.
Mervis Kamanga
Finance and Admin Officer
Mervis is a self-motivated hard working person who is eager to learn new skills, sociable, honest and integrated with strong organization skills. Mervis has a Bachelor of Applied Accounting, Auditing and Information Systems from Malawi College of Accountancy. During her Course, Mervis acquired impressive skills in Billing management, Stocks and Inventory Control, and Payroll Management which enables her perform multiple functions within the company finance and administration areas. She is able to work independently and as well as collaboratively in a team setting. Her unique abilities to think outside the box in identifying problems and implementing innovative solutions with minimal supervision makes her a great asset not only to the finance and administration department but to the company as a whole. Mervis is very creative, resourceful and self-driven which has excelled her in most challenges.
Maurice Galang'ombe
Administration Officer
Maurice is an experienced Administrative Officer with a track record of successfully developing and implementing efficient, cost-effective administrative systems that streamline processes and procedures to successfully support a variety of institutional needs.
Maurice has an impeccable record of successfully managing the day-to-day operations of a busy office, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow. He assists with budgeting and financial reporting, as well as coordinating and scheduling meetings and events. In the past 12 months, Maurice has championed the review of of existing policies and procedures, the development of new policies, and implementation of both new and revised policies and procedures to improve administrative operations resulting in a 21.7% increase of overall institution efficiency and a 14% decrease in errors.
Ethel Elliot
Finance and Admin Assistant - Part-Time
Ethel is a Finance and Administrative Assistant who works alongside the executive team, providing support to other members of the team on using progressive institutional systems. Ethel delivers executive-level support, streamline office functions, and manage complex calendars for senior management. She prepares and coordinates travel arrangements, ensuring cost-effectiveness and itinerary efficiency for all corporate travels. She serves as a liaison between various departments, ensuring clear communication paths and collaboration on projects, while at the same time managing procurement of office supplies and equipment, ensuring inventory is maintained and costs are kept in line with the budget. As an upcoming Business and Entrepreneurship expert, Ethel uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to innovate, work hard and succeed.
Blessings Masepo
Brand Design Consultant
Blessings is a dedicated branding and UI/UX specialist with a journey that began in 2019 as a freelance designer.
Since then, Blessings has honed his skills and gained valuable experience in creating seamless user experiences and visually captivating designs.
In 2022, his talent was recognized when he won a logo design contest for SONGWECOM and received a prize of over $2000.
Amelia Pendergast
Innovations Officer - Volunteer
Amelia is a talented young woman who is very passionate about the dignity of people and animals. She believe that business and entrepreneurship can be a transformative solution in improving livelihoods and creating sustainable opportunities. Amelia has worked with other institutions such as Borneo Nature Foundation as a primate intern, Tårup Rideudstyr in Denmark as an Assistant Farm Manager, Whale and Dolphin Conservation as a conversation research volunteer, Froghole Farm in United Kingdom as a Livestock Farm Worker and Bath in United Kingdom as an Assistant Ecologist. Among other accomplishment, she designed an orangutan identification base, sorting descriptions and photos to access information efficiently and quickly for research in the field; conducted a literature review on the impacts of fire and haze disturbance on primates for future conservation management; collected research data about marine population numbers, behaviours and health, and presented a professional survey and raised awareness about prominent environmental issues; Monitored wildlife and endangered species, identified and removed invasive plant species, and learnt tracking and trailing skills in the South African bush; Gathered data on bat roosting and foraging habits; and recorded echolocation signals emitted by the bats which I converted into audible frequencies to distinguish the bat species through spectral analysis
